Sad but true..I got this note from my sister in law..

I got this note and it just re-confirms our handmade holiday this year...

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will be honored after the holidays. Stores that are planning to close after Christmas are still selling the cards through the holidays even though the cards will be worthless January 1. There is no law preventing them from doing this. On the contrary, it is referred to as Bankruptcy Planning.
Below is a partial list of stores that you need to be cautious about.

* Circuit City (filed Chapter 11).
* Ann Taylor- 117 stores nationwide closing.
* Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug ,and Catherine's to close 150 stores
nationwide.

We are giving to the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, we adopted a family and this will help with their utility bills!

Llama, Llama Lazy Momma Tip #4

Library friends... Try to remember what a great time the library is even for younger kids.. Don't go buy DVD's or CD's until you test them out. No point in getting things for Christmas that you can't return just because your kids don't like them. Get some Nick Kids DVD's and some fun music CD's to test out first.. you are going to listen to them a million times, you may as well have a little say in it!!
